With courtesy and thanks to the guys at Searchcowboys who were taking notes the main changes are summarised as:

  • Most expensive keyword is on top.
  • Jump between different campaigns
  • Help widget which changes what you are doing. The help section can be folded in pretty easy.
  • With in page editing you can easily change the Meta information and change your bids.
  • The search query report can be accessed directly from the interface and you can get the information on keyword level.
  • You can more easy export and import from excel
  • You can now create multiple filters for keywords
  • Analytics charting added into the UI
  • When Ariel showed the option to edit ad copy directly in the UI he actually got a round of applause
  • It also offers some very strong filters
  • A new tab is networks in which you can use the content network. With this you have more control over where your ads will appear within the content network.
  • Easier management of your bids.
  • Better management of negative keyword lists

After the summary, Angela Lai, AdWords Engineering Lead at Google highlighted the major design feature and how they arrived at the core changes.

In all it seems that Google has listened to user feedback from its world tour that had the AdWords development team visiting countries across the world.

The listening to feedback both good and bad has also created more transparency of data that will allow a deeper understanding of the platform and in these harsh economic times, look to streamline the ROI being delivered.

The guys over at FroggBlog had a chance to give the new Google Adwords interface a proper review while in beta phase so head on over for a sneak peek at what you can expect.
