Nicole Yershon, Director of Innovative Solutions at Ogilvy Director’s Dinner: Behind the scenes at Ogilvy

I was lucky enough to attend an excellent Director’s Dinner courtesy of digital marketing news specialists Netimperative, last Thursday at Biagio’s Restaurant at Piccadilly, London.

A fascinating and insightful talk by Nicole Yershon, an all round go getter, doer and innovator that goes by the title of Director of Innovative Solutions at the doyenne of advertising that is Ogilvy, part of WPP.

Nicole was instrumental in bringing Ogilvy into the digital age by creating and implementing a series of process’s that allowed the company to fulfill its creative and innovative potential.

Nicole recanted stories of battling with colleagues and management as well as creating innovation within the creative sector itself which culminated in the recent History Museum’s War Poster exhibition ‘Weapons of Mass Communication’

The determination to create something good with the self motivation to see it through was a lesson for everyone in the room and would have been unanimously approved by the founding father of the company looking down on proceedings, David Ogilvy.
